Cutting boards set for bread and salami
Cutting boards set for bread and salami comes from the Lamami line of the Coltellerie Beltrame company of Maniago: a 2012 collection that was created and designed by the current owner, Andrea Girolami, which aims at the recovery of the craftsmanship involving exclusively local productions. The packaging, moreover, is designed to be environmentally friendly and innovative.
It is best to clean the product by hand and dry it immediately with a cloth, for the proper care of the wood; we do not recommend cleaning it in a dishwasher. For a perfect drying, put it vertically with both sides exposed to the air and for periodically rub it with a food oil.
The product is supplied in packaging made of recycled cardboard and which is 100% recyclable, designed to protect the knives and store them after use; dimension: 26 x 17 x 4 cm.
PRODUCTION
Coltellerie Marcello Beltrame presents Lamami, an innovative and high profile range of knives designed to rediscover the love for the cutting and the joy to share a flavor; the name Lamami, in fact, is the combination of the two Italian words “Lama” (blade) and “Amami” (love me). The innovative and elegant Lamami line comprises various high quality pieces, related by their scope of use, and tied to an original concept, that of the “book” in which the tools can be kept after use and can be taken to different places.
The book, made of upcycled material, matches our eco-friendly vision with its capacity of protecting and storageing the knives, without any risk of damaging the blades.
HISTORY
Maniago is a small city located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Northeastern Italy. Our valley had water and iron and most probably these were the two main elements that gave way to the tradition and production of blades and knives during the Roman Age, and in subsequent years the territory was under the region of the Venetian Republic and the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Our city is renowned all over the world for its production of knives, an activity which started around the 15th century due to its proximity to the city of Venice. During that period work began on the making of halberds for the army, while in subsequent centuries production became more varied; presently, within the municipality of Maniago, kitchen, hunting, sports knives are produced, along with industrial blades, gardening scissors and corkscrews.
The Coltellerie Marcello Beltrame collaborate with others companies for the production of the various pieces belong to the Lamami line.
