Set of five ribbons completely handmade in corncob husk. A set made of five little ribbons: an original idea for decorating your Christmas tree or as gift packaging. Perfect decorative object and original gift idea.

Set of five ribbons is a special edition for the 5th Birthday of our shop online (2015 – 2020).

Dimensions: maximun lenght 7/8 cm.

Possible imperfections or minor differences of the product compared to the photo indicate the high craftsmanship of a handmade product. It is recommended not to wet the product, to avoid damaging it.

HISTORY

A production that is completely handmade and that nowadays remains alive in very few places, the scus (workings of the corncob leaf) had a great success and demand until a few decades ago. Today there are still several artisans from the Val del Torre area (in the province of Udine) who carry on this tradition and offer marvellous creations.

La Cort has chosen to offer these articles because they are deeply characteristic of the peasant economy of past times and yet at the same time have evolved so that they also offer objects for everyday use.
